Get to Know Our Lawyer
The neighborhood where Jason Benzaken grew up was very violent in the 1980's
and 1990's, as the crack cocaine trade was very heavy in that section
of New York. He witnessed violence, he was the victim of crimes, but he
also knew people involved in criminal activity. The police department
at the time was riddled with corruption, and neighborhood dissatisfaction
with police department lead to in riots in early 1990's. Because of
all this, he always felt that he developed a complicated view of crime
and how society addressed crime, and this lead me to his work as a Brockton
Together with Attorney Wood, he has handled hundreds of felony cases in
their career in courts throughout the state. He and Attorney Wood regularly
go to trial on complicated cases, and they are in court almost every day.
They are committed to our clients. They defend people facing the most frightening
and life changing experience in their lives. As such, they develop close
relationship with the people they represent and their families, and they
and care about what happens to their clients.
A Unique Approach to Law
Although every case and very client is different, when new clients come
to Attorney Benzaken, they are all vulnerable. Usually it's the client's
family reaching out to him first, because someone has been arrested. When
people meet with him to discuss their options, he understands the fear
that they have and the concern that they have for their client's future.
However, he does not take advantage of people's fears and does not
act as a salesmen. He gives his clients truthful and honest assessments
of their cases and explanation of the services he can meaningfully offer
them. His work can range from and extensive investigation with a goal
on trial or work with experts to develop a strong case for a favorable
plea early in the case.
Aside from work, Attorney Benzaken enjoys wood working and masonry. He
spends his free time doing carpentry or stone projects, and he is constantly
pursuing renovation project at his home. He also enjoys cooking and gardening.
